Knitted Together is asking Knitters and Crocheters to come together to create a PRIDE Blanket.
The team behind the Knitted Together initiative are setting out a challenge for knitters and crocheters to come together to create a PRIDE blanket for the 2022 project.
June has long been recognised as LGBTQ Pride Month and Knitted Together is seizing on this opportunity to create a Pride blanket. The rainbow flag is often proudly displayed as a symbol of the LGBTQ rights movement.
Speaking of the challenge Arts Officer Mary Butler says, “We are delighted to set out the details of the latest Knitted Together 2022 challenge. We are inviting people to come together to create a Pride blanket or indeed for people to create 8-inch by 8-inch squares in the Pride flag colours in order for us to put together a Pride blanket.”
