Your Voice Matters: Literature and Coaching Programme 2024

Kilkenny County Council Arts Office works to develop, co-ordinate, motivate, inspire and strengthen artistic activity throughout the city and county. 2024 will see us work again with Creative Coach and Writer Anne Tannam to continue to develop and advance our diverse supports for Kilkenny writers.

Fifteen places will be available for a nine-month programme as part of our Your Voice Matters: Literature and Coaching Programme 2024. Places will be allocated by an application process. The programme will include a combination of online & in-person activities. The successful writers reap the benefits of a nine-month workshop & coaching programme worth €12,000 for a €100 contribution each.

Any Kilkenny writers interested to find out more about this wonderful opportunity and how to apply MUST ATTEND THE INTRODUCTORY SESSION WEBINAR. Applicants must be a  resident in Kilkenny for a minimum of 2 years.

Programme Aims & Objectives

  • Build capacity in Kilkenny’s writing community
  • Strengthen the local writing community and develop a mutually supportive community of writers across the county
  • Provide Foundational Facilitation Skills training for all art forms
  • Empower local writers to support each other’s development & progression
  • Prepare writers at all levels to deliver work to a wider public audience / build confidence
  • Provide writers with the skills to build and sustain flourishing writing practices

Introductory Session Webinar

The Introductory Session Webinar will give an introduction to the coaching process and the overall literature programme. By attending the webinar, you will receive an invitation to apply for the Literature & Coaching Programme. The webinar is taking place on online on Tuesday 12th March 2024 at 7pm– 8pm.
