Are you interested in upcycling and re-using fabrics and textiles, then these workshops are just what you need….
This four-week series will explore the fundamentals of using a sewing machine and build your confidence and capacity.
- Start by familiarising yourself with the machine’s components
- Learn how to ensure proper tension for smooth stitching
- Explore and practice different stitches and types of seams
- Learn how to create button holes and install zips
- Make your own bias binding
By the end, you’ll be confident to upcycle waste fabrics and make basic alterations
NB: You must have your own sewing machine to book a place on these workshops

- Dates: February 28th – March 20th
- Times: 7pm – 9pm each Wednesday evening
St Canice’s Neighbourhood Hall, Kilkenny
- Dates: March 1st / 15th / 22nd & 29th
- Times: 10am – 12 noon each Friday morning
