This is Art! is Ireland’s most exiting young people’s art competition, created by RTÉ and the Creative Ireland Programme aimed at young people on the island of Ireland.
Young artists were invited to create a piece of art to be showcased in a live digital gallery. The competition promoted artistic practice among young people aged under 18 and encouraged creativity, originality and self- expression. Entries were uploaded to www.thisisart.ie.

Winners of this competition will be announced during Cruinniú na nÓg on June 11th 2022. One artist in each category will receive the This Is Art! Grand Prix Award and selected artists across all categories will receive hand- printed Certificates of Commendation along with a judge’s review of their work. There will also be a prize fund of more than €10,000 to be awarded across the different categories for further education and art- related vouchers.
