Local emerging and professional musicians took to stages at three fantastic venues over the weekend of September 24th – 26th. The sounds of classical, jazz, pop, rock, indie, folk and traditional music took place in Woodstock Gardens, Ballykeefe Amphitheatre and the Watergate Theatre.
The funding to make all this happen came from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and was delivered locally by Kilkenny County Council’s Arts Office and the Watergate Theatre. This was a real opportunity for us to support the breadth of this important industry locally. So, this was a palpable investment in our county, our people and our wonderful venues and resources. This programmes also served to re-connect participants and audiences alike to the beautiful resources and spaces we have in Kilkenny and re-ignite an appreciation of Kilkenny’s wonderful assets.
