Rhyme Rag is an inspiring series of poetry workshops for 2nd, 4th and 5th year students, led by renowned poets who spark creativity and confidence in young writers. Following the workshops, students are invited to submit their poems to the Rhyme Rag resident editor, who selects work for publication on the Rhyme Rag website, an online platform where young people can have their writing seen and proudly published. A dedicated Instagram page further amplifies the project, celebrating selected poems and sharing students’ work with a wider audience. In 2026, the programme will take an exciting step with the launch of a printed publication featuring selected work from the past three years. This publication will be distributed to participating schools and libraries, creating a lasting record of young poetic talent and bringing these voices into communities across the county.
