Kilkenny County Council Arts Office has run the fabulous Knitted Together project across 2020, 2021 & 2022. Community participants knitted or crocheted squares and blankets in their own homes and as part of our Maker Meet Ups across the City and County. As a result, we collected lots of beautiful blankets and hundreds of squares, which were created into more gorgeous blankets. 2022 saw us also collaborate with Men’s Sheds who made wooden stools based on a traditional Irish design. All of the blankets and stools were donated to various charities to raise much needed funds.
So, don’t miss out, one of these beautifully locally made blankets or stools could be yours! Visit your local charity shops from 24th September to purchase a stunning blanket or stool for yourself or your loved ones.
