Kilkenny 2026
Creative Ireland continues to play an important role in supporting cultural
participation and creative engagement across County Kilkenny. Guided by the
Kilkenny Culture and Creativity Strategy 2023-2027, the programme brings
together partners from the arts, heritage, community, education, health and
environmental sectors to deliver innovative projects that strengthen
communities, celebrate local identity and encourage creativity for all. Through
initiatives such as the annual Creative Ireland Open Call and Cruinniú na
nÓg, Ireland’s national day of free creative activities for children and
young people, people of all ages are encouraged to explore their creativity,
connect with others and contribute to the cultural life of the county. Creative
Ireland Kilkenny continues to support projects that enhance wellbeing, promote
inclusion, foster sustainability and enrich communities throughout the county.
