Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio is one of the best known and loved children’s books. It’s been translated onto over 280 languages and the subject of numerous animations, films and TV series. Join us for this thoughtfully co-curated experience by artist Jole Bortoli and Martin Drury, with Set Square Collective. Rediscover the magic of this iconic tale of one puppets misadventure on his quest to become a real-life boy.
Kilkenny County Council Arts Office in collaboration withKilkenny Library Service present the beauty and artistry found in a collection of illustrated editions of Pinocchio for Bookville 2024. From vintage copies to modern interpretations by various artists and illustrators the exhibition will explore the intriguing imagery inspired by the book giving visitors of all ages an opportunity to play and create Pinocchio inspired artwork of their own.

Dates: October 12th, 14th – 19th, 21st – 25th
Saturday Opening Times: 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. (Exhibition closed between 1-2pm)
Monday – Friday Opening Times: 2pm- 5pm for families. (School visits run 10-1pm)

Tour Time slots: 10:00 – 10:45am, 11:00 – 11:45am, 12:00-12:45pm
Schools will be given a short tour of the exhibition and a drawing exercise to complete along with time to explore the space themselves. School groups will be allocated 45 minutes in the space. Booking is essential.
