ArtEd is an innovative arts programme for primary schools in Kilkenny, designed to inspire children to explore their creativity through hands-on projects across a range of art forms. Delivered in partnership between Kilkenny Education Centre and Kilkenny County Council Arts Office, the programme supports both students and teachers by providing high-quality, artist-led art making experiences and classroom-based professional development. It also enables artists to collaborate with schools in meaningful ways, helping to build creative confidence, foster critical thinking, and develop key skills such as problem-solving, coordination, and imaginative expression in a supportive, engaging environment. The programme encourages a lifelong appreciation of the arts by making creative learning accessible and enjoyable for all participants. By embedding the arts within everyday classroom practice, ArtEd enriches the overall educational experience for young learners.
