The Art of Change Youth Group took part in a programme titled ‘Leaf Out’ – devised and coordinated by artists Thomas Duffy.
This series of creative engagement workshops invited young people to explore and shape a sustainable and thriving future. Guided by the principles of the UN Earth Charter, Inner Development Goals, and the PERMA Wellbeing Model, participants engaged in interactive, hands-on creative activities designed to inspire and empower through exploration, community building, co-operative work and fun with a variety of artists.
The playful workshop series explored themes including: the connection between self-development, interconnection, systems thinking and environmental awareness, building positive relationships with the living world. The group discovered ways to care for our planet through creative projects that promoted environmental awareness and sustainable practices inspired by the UN Earth Charter.
The group engaged in activities that fostered self-awareness, resilience, and mindfulness through social art production, skill acquisition, and peer to peer learning. The workshops helped young people explore their values and goals.
Throughout this journey, Art of Change –‘Leaf Out’ inspired young people to become proactive change-makers, equipped with the skills and values necessary to build a sustainable and well-rounded future.
The group took part in workshops lead by artists Thomas Duffy, Mary Conroy, Jules Michael, Kasia Kaminska, and Carrie Lynam.
