Arts Office, Kilkenny County Council, had a wonderful year of engagement with the public and artists alike in 2022… here are some of our stats!

Kilkenny County Council Arts Office works to develop, co-ordinate, motivate, inspire and empower artistic activity throughout the city and county. We promote the arts as a worthwhile activity for all and work to further strengthen Kilkenny’s position as a centre of excellence for the arts and ensure a successful and prosperous arts environment within the region. Our work is broad and diverse and we manage and facilitate a breadth of programmes across art forms including visual art exhibitions, community projects, programmes and festivals for families & young people, literary programmes, professional development programmes, and support the development of policy and strategy development. At the core of all of our work is the practitioner and we fully believe in prioritising the practitioner by enabling them and affording them the time, space and skills to develop their practice. Collaboration and partnerships feature highly in our work as we fully understand the benefits of this way of working and its impact on sustaining programmes.
