All you have to do is knit or crochet a square or blanket that will be donated to a local Kilkenny charity shop 🧶

Saíocht – a celebration of Ireland’s leading Saíocht – a celebration of Ireland’s leading poets and Irish traditional musicians will take place at St. John's Priory on August 08th as part of Kilkenny Arts Festival. 

Hosted by renowned actor Stephen Rea, and featuring leading poets Emily Cullen and Gabriel Rosenstock, together with acclaimed Irish traditional musicians Louise Mulcahy, Michelle Mulcahy and Neil Martin, Saíocht explores the fascinating artistic relationship between the Irish literary tradition and Irish traditional music. Works by Kilkenny poets Emily Murtagh and Robert McLoughlin will also be performed during the show by Stephen Rea. 

Full proceeds from tickets will go to Kilkenny Civil Defence Ukraine Appeal.

Saíocht is funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media. Delivered locally by Kilkenny County Council Arts Office.
