KNITTED TOGETHER – WHERE TO DROP OFF YOUR SQUARES
Good morning to all our volunteers who are knitting or crocheting squares or blankets for donation to support the Kilkenny Charity shops at this challenging time.
The drop off dates are: 20th – 28th August.
What to do with the squares or blankets
- Darn in all loose ends.
- Bundle large numbers of squares into 10’s
- If you are posting squares wrap them in a plastic bag or postal envelope with an inner plastic coating to keep them moisture proof. (reuse old envelopes if possible)
- Please send your squares flat, do not roll them.
- If you are dropping off completed blankets please package them securely to make sure that nothing happens to your beautiful blankets.
DO NOT:
Use cling wrap as squares could develop an odour.
Drop off places
We have organised boxes in the following stores around the city and county where you can leave the beautiful squares or blankets you knitted or crocheted.
Please note: The boxes will only be in store from 20th August onwards and we would ask you not to drop in any completed squares or blankets prior to this date.
